CVC will have training rides for the junior/U23 and cat 5 racers.
Meet at Momentum Cycling on any of the following days next week, and expect a 1.5+ hour structured ride per day. If you want to join up with us during the rides, post it on the site and we will connect out on the road.

Monday @ 4:30

Tuesday @ 4:30

Wednesday @ 3:30

We had four riders show up today, and it was pretty cool. I hope you guys picked up a couple of things out there. We covered some building block strength training techniques on old 41 (hospital hill).
Tomorrow, we will leave from Momentum @ 4:30 and do a ride out to Friant and back. The pace will be easy. Seriously.

I do miss the old rides where we had someone say it was gunna be an easy pace and than in the middle of the ride Greg Mckinney rode past us at like 600 MPH and we all fought to catch up lol
but on another note.. yesterday was a great work out and i hope to see a lot of people there today:)

Thanks again Greg.

I am not sure what hurts more, my body from all the abuse from the crazy training drills or my brain from all the cool information you shared.

Another solid ride today!
We more or less did a mild tempo pace into a strong headwind with short pulls as to share the work. I was impressed with the lack of surging and good communication on the way out, and traded longer pulls on the way back.
Day three: meet at Momentum @3:30
Tomorrow will include a guest rider and we will be working on real deal interval training. The emphasis of the three days is to get a better understanding of training vs. just riding around and wearing yourself out or riding over your head a couple of times a week and never properly recovering. The use of various drills and techniques allow the body to respond better under stress.
By the way - bring your A game tomorrow;)
