alright so pretty much one of the funner more relaxed races i have done. i ended up finishing in 2nd place in the juniors catagory. me and a san jose guy broke off the second lap in and we stayed for about 6 laps then 2 more san jose guys bridged up and then we took it all the way to the finish. last lap i attacked got away by myself and one of them barly got me at the finish line. it was me and 5 san jose guys working the whole time. im proud of myself :)
I felt pretty good in my race today, considering I raced twice at the Folsom crit yesterday. I entered the Elite 4 race, stayed in the front, chased down a breakaway, led the race for most of a lap, but for the majority of the race tried my best to stay out of the wind. Didn't have much kick left at the end for the sprint, rode in on the wheels of the leaders, think I finished 20-ish.
Good job to everybody for some great results; seems it was a good day to race for CVC.
I did a bad job of looking for the stonger riders during the race and chose a bad wheel to follow on the last lap. Got caught in a pocket as everyone started jumping around me. I finally found a hole big enough to squeeze through and was able to gain pass enough dudes to get a top 10.
